Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- No publication cost is needed for publication. The publication costs for Contemporary Management Research (CMR) is covered by Academy of Taiwan Information Systems Research. Authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge or page charge. No cost is needed.

The submission has not been previously published, and is not currently under review for any other journals. Before submission, please make sure your article has not been previously published, and is not currently under review for any other journals.
We will perform the plagiarism check to make sure your article is original. We do not accept any manuscript with content that was published previously in any journals. The allowed similar percentage (%) for plagiarism check is a case by case decision. -
Conference presentation
It is ok if the early version of manuscript is presented in a conference and appears in a conference proceedings. If the paper is published in a book or the copyright of the manuscript is already transferred to the conference proceedings, the manuscript would be considered as published.
Besides, the authors have to explain the reasons if the authorship of the conference version article is different from that of the journal version article. -
Editorial office composes of a group of voluntary scholars who voluntarily provide non-pay service to Contemporary Management Research. All of these volunteers are professors from different universities. Thus, we need to improve the work performance for editorial jobs.
Please provide manuscripts using the layout and format of CMR in Microsoft Word file format. Please refer to the format of recently published issues in the journal website (MS-word file) for manuscript format and make sure to format the manuscript according to the sample files. You can find some published article files (.docx) at the recent issues such as

and many other sample files. A high-quality layout file is important for reviewers.
Please understand that we have to prepare a high-quality word file to reviewers so that reviewers can easily read the manuscript. We will give priority to the manuscripts that authors have followed the standard layout (format) of the journal. - Literature cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and each literature in the reference list must be cited in the text.
- References and citations need to be consistent and in APA 7 format (see http://www.apastyle.org/faqs.html#8 or http://www.apastyle.org/ for more details). Please make sure to follow APA format .

References of journal articles should include DOI numbers. Most journals provide DOI numbers on their websites. Please go to the journal website to find DOI numbers. You can also go to the CrossRef.org website to check DOI numbers for all your references.

Most journal articles have a DOI number. Please remember to add the DOI number for all references to journal articles. - Please make sure that all URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://cmr-journal.org) are activated and ready to click.
- Before submitting the manuscript, the manuscript should proofread for grammatical and spelling corrections as well as the readability. It is requested that authors should have their paper checked with a native English speaker colleague or professional for English syntax, grammar, etc before submission. Manuscript with serious writing problems would not be sent out for review.

Authors should provide all authors' affiliations (university name), country, and bio statement
(E.g., department and rank) in step 3 of submissions.

Special Issue on Innovation and Emergent Issues in Business Management
The special issue welcomes contributions to all theoretical and empirical studies that
investigate how innovation and contemporary issues can support and challenge the
business and management in an uncertain environment. In the last decades, the
external environment poses a critical need for enterprises regarding technological
innovation, flexibility to capture emerging trends in business management, to develop
new business models, and to adapt with an ever-changing. Furthermore, to cope with
disruptions from pandemic, business models are forced to re-shape which helps
businesses solve emergent issues from market and competition. Therefore, to provide
better understanding about such issues, we are calling for submission to the special
issue on “Innovation and Emerging Trends in Business Management”.
The suggested topics includes but not limited to the following areas:
- Technology, innovation and entrepreneurship
- Business management in uncertainty and business resilience
- Digital transformation in the platform economy to enhance organizational
performance
- Emergent issues on marketing and consumer behavior in digital age
