Technological Innovativeness and Organizational Culture in Hong Kong

This paper attempts to explore the relationship between technological innovativeness and organizational culture in Hong Kong. It measures both technical and administrative innovations status of organizations. A questionnaire survey is conducted to collect information from various industries in Hong Kong. Also included is the temporal information of innovations. The research uses path analysis to measure the impacts of three organizational factors on innovativeness. Organizational characteristics, organizational climate and organizational context are the factors that used in the research. As shown in the research, learning ability, centralization, specialization, external orientation, formalization, sufficient slack, achievement orientation and risk orientation are influencing the innovativeness in various perspectives.Published
